Activities & AttractionsCraft Shows
The 2021 Summer Solstice & League of Maine Craft Shows feature distinctive Maine and New England Artisans. You are invited to celebrate a festive Wells tradition: these popular two-day Craft Shows will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 10 & 11 and September 11 & 12 and November 6 & 7 at the Wells Jr. High School on Route 1 (1470 Post Road), Wells. All shows are held from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, both days, rain or shine.
These Craft Shows and sale are known for the quality and the variety of art and craft. More than 80 + crafters and artists will display their handmade wares and offer them for sale. Traditional, contemporary and country crafts are featured. Folks will find stained glass, jewelry, pottery, soaps, candles, wood crafts, fiber arts, graphics, herbs & everlastings, photography, handcrafted specialty foods and much more. Most of the artists are from Maine or nearby states, which gives the shows a definite New England flavor. The Craft Shows also includes live music provided by folk musician Carolyn Currie of Cumberland and John Tercyak of Bar Harbor. Their cds will be available for sale at the show. The 1690 House Café in Wells will be offering luncheon specials and snacks.
