Broadening Participation to Build Resilience. As coastal communities grapple with the impacts of rising seas, coastal erosion, and increased flooding, how can we respond in ways that foster equity and build resilience? One strategy is to broaden participation in planning and decision-making. In this virtual talk, Jessica Brunacini describes how to engage the public in dialogue, deliberation, and decision-making surrounding climate change. Jessica is the Margaret A. Davidson Graduate Fellow at the Wells Reserve and a Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University. Free. Registration required through wellsreserve.org/calendar.
