SUMMARY:Tea in the Time of Jane Austen
DESCRIPTION:Tea was an important part of the English (and American) way of life in the early 19th century. Jane Austen famously was a huge fan of tea and used the pagentry of the tea service as the glue that tied many of her characters and stories together. Joining us is Marianne Russo of Nellie's Tea Company in South Portland\, ME\, a tea specialist\, to discuss the kinds of tea available to the casual drinker in the time of Jane Austen. So put on your fanciest hat and grab a cuppa because\, as Jane once wrote\, "But indeed\, I would rather have nothing but tea."\n\n\nCONTACT: Stefanie Claydon 207-646-8181 sclaydon@wellstown.org
