In masterful compositions\, he creates a world for unspoken stories\, intimate moments and romantic gestures with diverse references from news footage and family photographs to Renaissance paintings. Personal and poetic\, Cudahy's figures coalesce with the atmosphere of their environments in fluid brushstrokes.\n\n"Whilst I collect a lot of images\, there's no hierarchy between them I keep some images for years\, not knowing how I will use them or why they hold such potent and persistent significance. Eventually\, they align with an idea or a sensation that I want to construct in a painting."
